Fashion Star: Stella McCartney
Since 2001, Stella McCartney has shown the world that high-end fashion does not have to exist in an environmentally indifferent vacuum. Throughout the last decade, she has created beautiful clothing without the use of leather or fur, and McCartney has received numerous honors for her efforts and social awareness, including Organic Style Woman of the Year and Green Designer of the Year.
High-end doesn’t necessarily mean inaccessible - McCartney’s clothes are less red-carpet couture and feature more everyday wardrobe-friendly pieces. The above photos are some of my favorite looks from her Spring/Summer 2012 collection. If you haven’t noticed, eye-popping colors are huge this season! If you’re too timid to work a pair of neon-hued pants, bright accessories like the Falabella tote are much easier to incorporate into your daily look.
